What is the cause of a blocked drain?

There can be several reasons why blocked drains occur, smells or gurgling sounds are often the early signs of blockage. Some examples of common indoor blockages are; soap combined with hair, household cooking oils and excessive toilet paper in the toilet. The most common external sewer & storm water blockages are caused by tree roots, ground movement, incorrectly installed piping, build-up of dead leaves and other substances which then causes a barrier to the flow of the water.

I am experiencing a bad sewerage smell, what could it be?
There are many factors as to why people experience bad sewerage smells. The odour can be coming from the outlet seal of the toilet, sinks which may not have been in use for quite some time causing the water to dry up in the S-bend and household foods and oils down the kitchen sink. To prevent experiencing this terrible stench regular cleaning, maintenance and minor repairs can be done.

How do you clear the blocked pipes outside?
We use a high-pressure water jetter which is the most effective way to clear all blockages. It uses high pressure water to scrub the internal wall of your sewer or drain pipes. The internal walls of the pipe are cleaned by washing away the debris, built up fats and oils in fact pretty much anything that has accumulated in the drain pipe walls.
